Project History and Past Meetings

ETCDC was asked to assist city of Knoxville and the Broadway Corridor Task Force with developing a Broadway Corridor Enhancement Plan.  Broadway has potential to become a successful Corridor connecting Fountain City to Downtown Knoxville. It has wonderful assets such as long standing businesses and strong neighborhoods.  Its current make up however leads to a poor business environment that is not appealing to costumers. The goal of this enhancement plan is to assess these shortcomings and develop demonstrative solutions that can be implemented throughout the corridor.

ETCDC facilitated a Public Input Meeting and Design Charrette. It was held Thursday November 5 at St. James Episcopal Church Fellowship Hall 1101 N. Broadway Knoxville, TN 37917. Over 7o community members, business leaders, and city/ county officials were in attendance.

We have posted the Slide Presentation and Visual Preference Survey from that meeting. [Please click here to view it.]
